About Chaplin

Chaplin is a flexible and feature-packed WordPress theme that gives you complete control over your fonts and colors.

Some of the designs possible with Chaplin.

Chaplin is built for anyone who wants to put a personal touch on their website. By just changing the fonts used in the theme and adjusting a few colors, you can get a site that feels a lot different than the default look and feel of the theme.

The extensive block editor support makes it extra suitable for websites that require a lot of landing pages, like businesses and organisations, but it also includes a lot of features for the old-fashioned bloggers out there. Install it on WordPress.org (or through Admin → Appearance → Themes → Add New on your WordPress installation) and give it a try!

Chaplin is designed and developed by Anders Norén. It’s one of a total of 20 themes that I’ve released for free on the WordPress.org theme directory through the years. You can find the rest of them on my website. Want to say thanks? Make me a PayPal donation!

List of Features

Block Editor Support

Chaplin is built from the ground-up with the new WordPress Block Editor in mind. Creating intricate, good looking layouts with multiple columns, media and text is fast and easy.

Fonts and Colors

All fonts and colors in Chaplin can be changed in the WordPress Customizer, which makes it easy to give your website a unique look and feel. Chaplin supports all fonts on Google Fonts.

Editor Styles

Any changes you make to the fonts and colors in Chaplin are also reflected in the Block Editor and Classic Editor, so you always get a good idea of the end result when creating content.

Infinite Scroll

Chaplin features built-in infinite scroll, and lets you choose whether to load more posts when a button is clicked or when the visitor has scrolled to the bottom of the page.

Post Meta Settings

Chaplin includes settings for what post meta to display on archive pages and on single posts. Simply select the meta you want to display in the Customizer, hit save, and you’re done.
